In the Forum’s program

• The First Saint Petersburg International Workshop “Business Tourism and all around it” September, 30, 2008. Aiming to achieve the greatest efficiency of the Forum "Tourism and resorts" and the exhibition «INWETEX – CIS TRAVEL MARKET’2008» participation in October, 30th the First Saint Petersburg International Workshop "Business tourism and all around it" will take place. The subject of a meeting is devoted to the business tourism market in Russia and to its opportunities in Saint Petersburg. Among the participants of meeting are planned national tourist representations, tourist companies, hotels, congress centers and other organizations specializing on business tourism. To achieve the greatest efficiency of the event and to assist to the regional companies interested in visiting the First Saint Petersburg International Workshop, the specialized program "Professional buyer" will be organized. It will include free round trip (airplane or bus) and hotel accommodation on special terms.
• The Forum of entrance and internal tourism "The New View on Russia", October, 2, 2008. The Program of the Forum in 2008 is devoted to a theme of cultural tourism development in Russia. Today cultural resources are often admitted as the major power source of a tourist traffic attraction to the countries and regions which traditionally were tourist. In frames of the Forum following round tables and sections will take place:
  • Session "Regional programming of cultural tourism development"
  • Seminar "Use of museum technologies in a work with visitors: logistics of tourist traffic"
  • Session "New programs and technologies of a professional training for tourism"
  • Round table "Management of regional tourist appeal: from tourist-information centers to marketing agencies"
  • Master-class "Development in tourism sphere"
  • Round table "Future of hotel business in Russia: hotel as an infrastructure and as an object of cultural tourism"
  • Project presentation “Handicraft souvenir network of Karilia”
  • Presentation of the educational project for lecturers in tourism sphere.
• International conference “Congress and business tourism industry” October, 3, 2008. The program of conference in 2008 is devoted to specificity of modern technologies used by business in the meeting industry. MICE industry has been intensively developed in the world more than 20 years and has become more and more competitive. This direction is new and actual for Russia, the congress tourism market is now on the stage of infrastructure and specialized technologies development. Themes of seminars and the master-classes: Marketing technologies of business meetings, Meeting-logistics, Event-management: post-event activity, Congress management: preparation of the program and lecturers, IT-tools in MICE technologies, Work with clients: VIP technologies, Risk-management in MICE. In frames of the Conference following events are planned:
